 On the 10th of June, 2021, in Mumbai, the Phoenix Mills Limited which is the largest developer and operator of valuable assets that is led by retail and is engaged in various uses has organised one of the biggest drives for vaccination which cover their employees, the members of the families of the employees, staff engaged in retail, staff who are contractual, and the associates of the company who are third party. 

Vaccination Drive at Phoenix Mall

This vaccination drive runs across the pan India of PML’s business. They have spanned 9 malls spread across six cities which are, the Phoenix Palladium Mumbai, Phoenix Marketcity malls in Mumbai, which is also spread in Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai, Phoenix Palassio which is in Lucknow, Phoenix United situated in Lucknow and Bareilly and Palladium which is in Chennai. Their hospitality assets are situated in The St. Regis which is in Mumbai, and Courtyard by Mariott in Agra. Their residential properties are located at One Bangalore West and Kessaku in Bengaluru. Their commercial properties are the Art Guild House at Mumbai, The Centrium, the Phoenix Paragon Plaza, and the Phoenix House in Pune, Fountainhead. 

Objective of the drive

The main objective of them starting a drive for vaccination was to ensure well being, safety and physical wellbeing of the family constituted by the Phoenix Mills Limited. This has resulted in Covid negative staff reports in mall. Apart from getting covid negative staff reports in mall, they also strived towards providing such an environment which is deemed safe for all the employees, customers, their patrons, residents and their guests. The  vaccinations at the drive are administered at the facility of PML which is spread across India. They administer their vaccination drive along with the workers in the healthcare system. The managing director of The Phoenix Mills Limited, and the Phoenix Mall Shishir Srivastava has commented on the drive for vaccination by saying that the war of India against the pandemic is on two fronts which are health and recovery in the activities which are commercial. He further says that we can address both these fronts of challenge by a fully effective workforce which should be fully vaccinated. This will cater to reduce the pressure of the systems run for the health of the public as well as help in resuming the activities of these systems faster. 

Covid negative staff reports in Mall

The chief operating officer at The Phoenix Mills Limited is Mrs. Rashmi Sen, who further adds that the managing body is glad that they have been able to put into use the infrastructure of the mall and the staff who have helped greatly in putting the efforts of the government in acceleration towards breaking the chain of the virus. They have blissfully shared that they have been successful in vaccinating 1500 of their employees, associates, and the staff in retail through the camps of vaccination that are held at all the malls under Phoenix which are spread across the country. They have imposed many safety precautions to enter a mall. With safety precautions to enter a mall that are to be followed, they are further expecting to inoculate more of the population in the days to come.
